Coepi means to begin or the start of something, we believe the heart of Catholic education is not found first in a classroom, but in the home. The Church has always taught that parents are the primary educators of their children in the faith, and our mission is to serve, strengthen, and support that sacred calling. No matter when or how often before you might have tried to start something to enrich your faith, it is never too late to start. Coepi
There is already excellent Catholic content in the world today. However, they are long form (1hr+), access attached with a cost, and lastly meant to teach directly from the content creator or the presenter. We wanted to offer free, short but rich content and an in-house leader approach. This is not meant to replace parish led education and sacramental instruction, but instead to support it.
Some of my most impactful moments of formation did not happen in a school building. They happened in my living room. My father would occasionally gather us together to pray the Rosary. Sometimes he would read a a few verses, and then we would simply talk about it. My Mom might be reading a religious book in the little time she had to herself. It wasn’t formal, but it was impactful. Looking back, those moments shaped my faith as much as any classroom ever did.
We want to give parents a tool to properly pass on the faith.
That is the vision behind Coepi Academy.
